PM2

Writing your Node.js code and running it on your client machine is OK, but what will you do when you need to publish your code on your web server? PM2 can be one of the best ways to do that.

PM2 is an advanced process manager for the JavaScript runtime Node.js. You can manage your node packages on your web server and arrange the levels of these packages related to the performance metrics such as RAM or CPU usages.

After installing the pm2 with this npm command -> npm install pm2 -g, you are ready to use the pm2 on your server.

You can start any of your node projects by simply writing and executing this command -> pm2 start app.js

To list all the running applications, use this command -> pm2 list

Sometimes you need to restart a specific app or all the apps, to do that -> pm2 restart all

To see the logs, just simply use this command -> pm2 logs

To monitor logs and custom metrics you can use -> pm2 monit
